Take-Two beat with $1.58B in quarterly net bookings and guided FY2027 at $8.0–8.2B on the strength of the GTA VI launch.
On May 21, 2026 Take-Two reported fourth-quarter and full-year FY2026 results, beating expectations with $1.58B in quarterly net bookings. The company guided FY2027 net bookings to $8.0B to $8.2B, the fiscal year that contains the November 19 launch.
Zelnick called GTA VI "the most anticipated entertainment property of all time" and said: "We're seeking perfection, and when we feel we've optimized creatively, that's the time to release." He reaffirmed November 19, 2026 and confirmed the marketing campaign would build through the summer.
Five days later, on May 26, the original release date came and went, a milestone several outlets marked with a wry "it's release day, or at least it was."
