What we collect, and why
Last updated September 3, 2026.
The short version
GTA6 Briefing does not run tracking cookies, does not sell data, and stores only what a feature needs to work. Everything below is the long version of that sentence.
Forum identity
When you pick a display name to post, we set one cookie on your device. It holds a random ID and the name you chose, signed so it cannot be forged. It is not linked to an email, an account or an IP address. Delete it with the "Forget me" button or by clearing cookies, and the name is gone.
Posts and replies
Anything you post is public and stored with your display name and the time. We also store a short-lived record of the posting IP address for rate limiting and abuse prevention; it is not shown to anyone and is not kept as part of the post.
Newsletter
If you subscribe we store your email address, the date and the page you subscribed from. We send the emails described next to the form and nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us at hello@gta6briefing.com to remove you.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics that count page views without identifying you.
Advertising and affiliate links
Some pages carry retailer links that may pay us a commission if you buy something. Those retailers have their own privacy policies. If we run advertising, the ad network may set its own cookies, and this policy will say so and name the network before that happens.
Your rights
Ask us at hello@gta6briefing.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We answer within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and we say what moved in a blog post.
