Rockstar responds to the "CyberLeek" gameplay and map leaks, warns fans off the memecoin
An anonymous account has been posting unauthorised clips and an alleged full Leonida map since mid-August. Rockstar has issued DMCA takedowns and a rare public statement.
Since mid-August 2026 an account calling itself CyberLeek has posted a stream of short gameplay clips and what it claims is the complete Leonida map. The clips reportedly show basketball, taser use, in-game drug effects, aircraft, a nightclub, a nudist colony and packed beaches. The account is tied to a self-promoted memecoin and frames the campaign as a protest against digital-only releases and pre-order culture.
Rockstar has responded with DMCA takedowns and a public statement calling the leaks "heartbreaking" for the development team, asking fans to "wait a bit longer" for November 19, and explicitly warning people not to buy the associated coin. Most press read the takedowns as tacit confirmation that at least some of the material is genuine.
Our policy: GTA6 Briefing does not host, embed or link to leaked assets. We report that leaks exist and how Rockstar responds, and we mark anything derived from them as a rumor. The stylised map on this site is fan art built only from the regions Rockstar has officially named.
